Current projects

  • Mapping Prosody Convergence in the Eastern Mediterranean
    Project funded by UK’s Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and based at the Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics, University of Oxford (PI: Elinor Payne).
    My focus is on prosodic/intonational convergence between Venetan and coastal Croatian varieties.

    Ongoing line from my PhD: acoustic and articulatory correlates of the long–short contrast across regional varieties; includes work on preaspiration and voice quality.

  • The “evanescent /l/” in Venetan
    New articulatory + acoustic studies on the realization/weakening of /l/ in central Venetan (with F. Burroni).
